Bidding Farewell to the 2023: A Musical Journey

This year, my passion for music took center stage as I delved into tenor saxophone lessons. The journey from basic exercises to playing songs, exploring blues scales, and starting to improvise has been a profoundly enriching experience.

As a music enthusiast, during 2023 I attended a variety of concerts featur- ing iconic artists: Bruce Springsteen, Wynton Marsalis, Chicago, Molly Tuttle, Midori, Dead and Company, and Billy and the Kids. I love support- ing the Monday Madness shows at Soho from the SBCC Jazz program as well as seeing the big acts. Wrapping up the year, I’m eagerly anticipating U-2’s performance at the Sphere in Las Vegas, touted as the world’s pre- mier concert venue.

If you’re a budding saxophonist looking to jam, I’d love to connect and make music.

Exploring Real Estate: Podcast Milestones and Insightful Talks

My real estate podcast, Sweet Home Santa Barbara, has reached the two- year milestone with 42 episodes pro- duced. According to Apple Podcasts, those with 29 episodes or more are in the top 10 percent of all podcasters— that’s my tribe. Exciting new episodes and inter- views are on the horizon. Just released this month is a talk with Shaun Tomson: former world champion surfer, author, and Montecito resident, who shares insights from his TEDx talk on meaning and purpose. Don’t miss his wonderful story of how he acquired his Montecito home. Notable upcoming episodes are with Kelli Ellis, the renowned celeb- rity designer from Barcelona and LA. Ellis has hosted shows on TLC, HGTV and currently has a show on The Design Network. Next up will be Nick Van Valkenberg, VP for Roof AI, a real estate AI company. In December I’m interviewing Allan Dalton, former CEO of Realtor.com, on changes coming to the industry. These are all good reasons to subscribe to Sweet Home Santa Barbara.
